Burglary reported

A 17-year-old Dudley woman said she was awakened early this morning by two subjects who attempted to get into her home through a bedroom window.

Tabitha Glaspie of Atlanta Drive said the two men raised the bedroom window and asked for $10. She refused and attempted to close the window, when a struggle ensued. Ms. Glaspie told sheriff's deputies she went to get her brother, who was also in the house, and the subjects fled on foot.

Kidnapping, robbery probed

A 38-year-old Dudley man was reportedly kidnapped and robbed in the Dudley area Wednesday night around 9:30.

Tony Lee of Daffodil Drive told deputies from Wayne County Sheriff's Office what a vehicle pulled up alongside him as he was walking on Rollingwood Drive. Two subjects exited and a third was inside the vehicle.

Lee said he was forced into the vehicle, which then drove away and he was robbed of $105 in cash.

After riding around for about 30 minutes, Lee said he was pushed from the vehicle while it was still in motion in the area of John Street and Arrington Bridge Road.

He was treated at the scene for lacerations to his ankle.
