Escapee caught
A convicted felon who escaped from the Wayne County Courthouse three years ago is back in the county jail.
Reginald Antwan Henry, 32, of Koonce Street, was picked up by police in Morrisville on Saturday while investigating a domestic disputel. When they learned he was wanted in Wayne, he was turned over the the Wayne County Sheriff's Office.
On April 29, 2002 in Wayne Superior Court, Henry was convicted of being a habitual felon, three counts of discharging a weapon into occupied property, one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and another count of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. He escaped bailiffs just before court ended for the day and eluded capture. He told officers after he was arrested that he had hid in a dumpster for hours to avoid getting caught.
He is being held without bond.

Goldsboro police are investigating these reports:
*At 3:30 a.m. Friday Michael David Truzy said a man punched him in the face when he was unable to give him money. He said he was in the roadway in the 600 block of North William Street when a man he does not know took his wallet, made him go to an ATM machine, and punched him in the face when he could not get any money out. He described the man as black, in his 20s, about five feet nine inches tall, weighing 180 pounds, of medium build and short.
*At 9 p.m. Friday police responded to a call at the home of Edward Tibbs on North John Street. Tibbs said somebody he does not know cut his left thumb with a knife. He described the man as white, in his mid-20s, thin, blonde, five feet eight inches tall and weighing around 170 pounds. He said the man came into his yard, pulled out a knife, cut him and left in an unknown direction.
*Caressa Hope Atkinson of Argo Street and Christopher Alton Tann of Rudolph Street were treated and released at Wayne Memorial Hospital after suffering minor gunshot wounds. They said they had been sitting on the hood of a car at about 2 a.m. Saturday at 2000 Wayne Memorial Drive when they heard gunshots and realized they had been shot.
Investigations
Goldsboro police are investigating these reports:
*Amos C. Currence of North Alabama Street said someone stole his checkbook and wrote bad checks totaling $4,500.
*Myles Holloway's said someone did $800 worth of damage to his 1987 Chevrolet van while it was parked outside his home on Porter Street Friday afternoon.
*James Harold Webber told police that someone stole his $400 Chippendale garden bench from the driveway of his home on East Walnut Street.
*Thieves broke into Allens Tavern at 2212 N. William Street some time after 10:45 p.m. on Thursday and did $50 damage to get to $100 and some receipts.
*Someone did $100 damage to the door to get inside Dillard Academy at 504 W. Elm St. some time after 8 p.m. Thursday. The school reported the break-in Friday morning. Nothing was found missing.
*Someone stole CDs, ID cards and $185 from Tavon Waters' vehicle while it was parked on East Walnut Street.
