Investigations
These incidents are being investigated by Goldsboro and Wayne County law enforcement officers:
*On Wednesday, agents from the U.S. Department of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms discovered three firearms missing from Neuse River Gun & Pawn at 2339-C U.S. 117 South during an unannounced inspection. Two SKS rifles valued at $275 each and a revolver valued at $50 were discovered missing when agents took inventory.
Thursday morning, Lynda McNeil Uzzell of the store said someone forced the back door open and took a .20 gauge single-shot shotgun valued at $100. Additionally, phone lines were cut and a surveillance camera was turned away from the door. The weapon was recovered at the east end of the building.
*Claude R. Wilson reported an unknown person broke into the game room at 1242 Bryan Boulevard. Damages to a window pane and video game were set at $90. Wilson told deputies that $700 in quarters were stolen. Also, five motorcycle helmets valued at $540 and an ice scooper valued at $40 were missing.
*Rontrakgus Rashon Best said someone entered his residence on John Street Friday evening by forcing an air conditioner out of a window. An Xbox game console, valued at $100, was reported missing.
*Jarrett Poff, an employee of Rex at 1200 N. Berkeley Blvd., saidd someone broke two windows early Saturday morning and entered the business. Three flat-screen televisions valued at more than $5,000 were reported stolen. Damages to two televisions were set at $2,400 and to the windows at $900.
*Brandon Gray of LaGrange said his 2004 Red Yamaha Zuma moped was stolen while it was parked at 404 Charles St. Friday. The vehicle was valued at $3,739.
*Lenette Young of E. Holly Street said someon entered her home early Saturday through an unsecured window. Missing from the home were two TVs, a PlayStation 2 game system, and window fan, all valued at $3,692.
*Donald Ray Raiford of S. Andrews Street said someone stole his moped while it was parked at 518 E. Elm St. The blue Big Max 50 moped was valued at $2,160.
*Clifton Dean Hill of N. Carolina Street reported a hand truck valued at $150 missing from his backyard. Damages to a door and frame were set at $25.
