A 40-year-old Goldsboro woman has been identified as the victim of a two-vehicle collision Tuesday morning on Claridge Nursery Road.
Monique Olivieri, of 201 Crescent Creek Drive, was killed in a head-on crash soon after 9 a.m., family members confirmed.
The driver of a two-ton truck apparently crossed the center line and hit a sport utility vehicle driven by Mrs. Olivieri, investigators with the state Highway Patrol said.
The Highway Patrol had not released an accident report by presstime today, and the name of the truck driver was still not known. He was treated for minor injuries at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Patrol Sgt. Will Thurston said the man likely will face a charge of misdemeanor death by motor vehicle. Other charges could be filed, Thurston said.
Mrs. Olivieri was employed as a customer service manager with RBC Centura Bank.
