Missing

The Goldsboro Police Department is searching for Tonya Michelle Barnes, 38, of Olivia Lane.

Ms. Barnes' daughter, Dantia Graves, filed a report that said her mother was last seen walking from her home on Olivia Lane to her sister's house on the 900 block of Poplar Street at about 11 a.m. Tuesday.

Ms. Barnes is described as black, 5-feet-2-inches tall and 156 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a blue and white buttoned-up shirt, a blue jean dress and white flip flops.

Anyone with information about Ms. Barnes' whereabouts is encouraged to call Goldsboro police officers at 705-6572.

Break-in

Between 9:30 and 11:30 p.m. on Friday an unknown suspect broke into a home on the 100 block of Legion Lake Drive in Dudley and stole more than $1,500 in belongings, according to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office. Rica Feronte Sutton, 28, said someone broke into his home through a bedroom windowand stole stole two pairs of boots worth $280, two pairs of Air Jordan sneakers worth $260, $50 in cash, a gold necklace worth $800 and a $60 five-disc compact disc player.

A 1986 red Chevrolet truck belonging to Carl Perkins, 53, of Brewington Road in Mount Olive was found abandoned and wrecked off of Old Mount Olive Highway near Brewington Road. Perkins reported to Wayne County Sheriff's Office deputies that his truck was parked on the 200 block of Athens Drive Friday night. Sometime between 1 and 5 a.m. Saturday morning, Perkins told deputies his truck was stolen by an unknown suspect. The North Carolina Highway Patrol found the truck, valued at $5,000, wrecked and abandoned.
