County seniors will turn their tassels this weekend

Wayne County Public Schools will graduate 1,121 seniors during ceremonies planned for this weekend. Five of the six high schools will hold commencement ceremonies on Friday evening, while Spring Creek High School graduation exercises will take place on Saturday morning.
The Charles B. Aycock High graduation will be held at 7 p.m. at its Hardy Talton Football Stadium. The commencement address will be given by valedictorian Thomas Williamson. Salutatorian Alan Toler will give the devotion, as 253 students graduate.

Eastern Wayne High will graduate 258 students. Ceremonies begin at 6 p.m. in the football stadium on the school grounds. Valedictorian Lauren Ashley Williford and salutatorian Desmond Munnerlyn Rowe will both speak.
Goldsboro High's graduation will be held at 6 p.m. in the gymnasium, with 150 students receiving diplomas. Valedictorian Shaconda Johnson and salutatorian Hameka Canady will give commencement addresses.
Rosewood High's graduation ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. on the football field with 121 students graduating. Valedictorian Jamie Mills and salutatorian Julia Brantham will both speak.
Southern Wayne High, with 220 students in the senior class, will hold ceremonies at College Hall, Mount Olive College, at 7 p.m. Commencement speakers will be valedictorian Casey Best and salutatorian Katie Connelley.
Spring Creek High graduation will also be held in College Hall, on Saturday morning at 11. The school will have 119 students to graduate. Valedictorian Amanda Bragg and salutatorian Janet Potter will be the commencement speakers.
