The department's Operations Division started Tuesday night concentrating its efforts on complaints of prostitution in several areas within the city. The round-up took four hours, officers said.
All eight women were charged with procuring for prostitution and three were charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Those charged with procuring were Juanita Moody, 37, of Seaboard Street; Marsha Williams, 37, of Western Wayne Drive in Pikeville; Lavonia Phillips, 27, of Pineview Avenue; Katherine Nichols, 37, of East Mulberry Street; Kimberly Dawson, 33, of Carolina Street; Vanessa Johnson, 42, of A Street; Glenda Armstrong, 43, of Saulston; and Jane Doe, age unknown, of the streets of Goldsboro.
