World War II living history day Saturday

The Wayne County Museum will host a World War II Living History Family Day Saturday.
From 10 a.m. until 5 p.m. the Mid-Atlantic Military Association will have re-enactors portraying American, German and Russian soldiers and nurses under a war tent.
Proceeds from the $1 admission and cost of T-shirts and refreshments will go to the museum.
The gift shop will be open, and there will be free tours of the museum.
This is the second Living History Family Get-Together held this month at the museum. The first dealt with life in Wayne County during the 1800s.
Museum Director Janet Clayton said the first exhibit was a big hit and urged people to attend the World War II exhibit, which will include a wide range of memorabilia donated by local residents.
The museum itself served as a USO facility during the war and older Wayne residents have fond memories of the days when airmen from the nearby Army Air Corps station were often on hand.
