Man stabbed

A Goldsboro man was stabbed in the left shoulder Monday night after an argument with another man in the 200 block of East Vine Street, according to a Goldsboro police report. Timothy Edmundson, 44, was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital, where he was treated and released.

Edmondson told police that he was stabbed at about 10:10 p.m. by an unknown assailant. The suspect was described as black and 5-feet-9 with black hair in dreadlocks.

Three hospitalized

Three people involved in a traffic collision last week at Pikeville-Princeton and Gurley Dairy roads remained Monday at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville, a spokesman said.

One driver, Sharin Sherene Nichols, 19, of Little Dove Road, Pikeville, was listed in serious condition. Her passenger, Maya McFadgen, 11, of Little Dove Road, was listed in good condition. The other driver, Kristie Carol Anderson, 30, of Ron's Landing, Pikeville, was listed in fair condition.

Ms. Nichols was charged by the Highway Patrol with a yield violation. Damages were estimated at $20,000.

Investigations

Wayne County sheriff's deputies are investigating these reports:

*Vinyl siding on a mobile home at 114 Green Valley Drive was damaged Monday in a fire that authorities called suspicious. Damage was estimated at $800 at Bertha Mae Evans' home. Several children put out the fire, the report said.

*A John Deere lawn tractor and an 18-foot trailer were stolen Saturday from Quality Farm Equipment Co. at 2110 U.S. 70 West. The property was valued at $15,900.

*A 2.5-ton air conditioner was stolen from a home construction site in the 200 block of Starcrest Lane over the weekend, investigators said. The unit, valued at $1,250, was owned by Art Patelos Enterprises of Goldsboro.

Thefts

Goldsboro police are investigating these reports:

*A laptop computer, a combination monitor and video cassette recorder, a printer and $150 were stolen from the Valvoline oil change shop at 604 N. Spence Ave. The stolen property was valued at $2,100. Damage was set at $65.

*A compact disc player and a portable CD player were stolen from a car parked in the 800 block of North Berkeley Boulevard. G.M. Crow estimated the value of the stolen property at $160 and damage at $150. A window on a second car also was broken.

*About $50 worth of frozen foods was stolen between from a home in the 900 block of North Center Street. Damage was set at $50 at Evelyn Thorbs' home.

*A black, two-door 2001 Chrysler Sebring was stolen Monday night from the 300 block of South Alabama Avenue. Gail Robertson valued it at $15,000.

Missing

A 16-year-old girl was reported missing Monday by relatives to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office. Precious Rose Giarrusso of 101 Melodie Lane was described as black, 4-feet-11 and 118 pounds with brown hair in a ponytail or a bun and brown eyes. When she was seen last at 8 p.m. Thursday, she was wearing blue jeans and a black and brown camouflage T-shirt. Anyone with information on her location was asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 731-1481.
