More at Four applications accepted

The Partnership for Children of Wayne County is currently accepting applications for next year's More at Four program. More at Four is a free state-funded pre-kindergarten initiative designed to prepare eligible at-risk four year old children for success in school. Classrooms are located in public school classrooms, Head Start facilities and child care facilities. The sites for the '06-'07 school year include: Bright Beginnings Christian Center, Eastern Wayne Elementary School, Happy Days Day Care & Pre-School, North Drive Elementary School, Royall Avenue Head Start, School Street Elementary School, Small World Child Care, Small World Child Care, Too!, Rosewood Elementary School, Tommy's Road Elementary School, Fremont STARS Elementary School, Kids & Company, Carver Elementary School, Carver Head Start, Brogden Primary School, Rhyme University Child Care, Wee Are The World Child Care, Spring Creek Elementary School, and Wonderland Christian Child Care.
In order to be eligible, children must be four years of age on or before October 16, 2006. Family income must also be within a range set by the state. Applications may be picked up at the Partnership for Children Office located at 800 N. William Street in Goldsboro or may be downloaded from the Partnership's web site at www.waynesmartstart.org. Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Parents should bring the following documents for their child: birth certificate, social security card, insurance/Medicaid information, annual physical, and immunization record. Parents will also need to provide their own social security cards and proof of family income.
