Teenager robbed
A Goldsboro teenager was robbed Tuesday night of his watch by a man on East Ash Street near South Slocumb Street, according to a Goldsboro police report.
Christopher L. King, 16, told officers that the suspect approached him at about 10:45 p.m. with a handgun. The suspect demanded that King give up his watch or he would shoot him. King refused, but the suspect snatched the watch, valued at $500, and fled south on Slocumb Street.
The robber was described as black, in his 20s, wearing a blue cap, blue T-shirt and pants.
Vehicle break-ins
Four vehicles were broken into and stereo equipment was stolen after windows were smashed between Monday night and Tuesday, Goldsboro police reported. Two other vehicles were damaged in attempted break-ins.
*A combination radio and compact disc player and two speakers were stolen from a car in the 1700 block of Peachtree Street. The resident, Donald B. Jackson, estimated the value of the stolen property at $320 and damage at $75.
*A compact disc player was stolen from a car at a repair shop in the 600 block of East Ash Street. The owner, Lakisha S. Young of Goldsboro, put a $250 value on the player and set damage at $200.
*A speaker was stolen from a car in the 1400 block of East Walnut Street. The owner, David Barnes of Goldsboro, said the speaker was worth $350 and set damage at $200.
*A combination radio and CD player was stolen from a car in a restaurant parking lot in the 900 block of North Spence Avenue. The owner, Thomas Murphy, estimated the player's value at $150 and damage at $25.
*About $230 in damages was inflicted on a window and a stereo's wiring harness on a truck in the 1800 block of Dogwood Lane, the owner and resident, Mallie Honeycutt IV, reported.
*A window was smashed in a truck in the 1700 block of Rose Street. The owner and resident, Richard Baker, estimated damage at $144.
Drug charges
The Goldsboro-Wayne County Drug squad wrapped up a month-long investigation of drugs at an apartment in the 1400 block of Old Smith Chapel Road with the arrest of the resident.
Ricardo Antonio Torres, 29, was charged Tuesday with possession with intent to sell and deliver methamphetamine and maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of keeping and selling methamphetamine. He was placed in the Wayne County Jail in lieu of a $35,000 secured bond.
Two other people were arrested Tuesday by authorities and charged with felony drug offenses.
Timothy Richard Anderson, 37, of Colonial Court was stopped by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office on Genoa Road on suspicion of driving while impaired. During the stop, deputies found four grams of cocaine and charged him with felony possession of the drug.
Anderson registered .08 percent blood-alcohol content. He also was charged with driving while impaired, driving while his license was revoked and an opened container violation. He was jailed in lieu of a $6,000 secured bond.
Christopher Clark, 17, of East Spruce Street was charged by Goldsboro police with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana. He was jailed in lieu of a $5,000 secured bond.
Accidents
Damages were estimated at $18,500 Tuesday in three traffic accidents in Goldsboro, police reported.
*Damages were estimated at $6,500 in a two-vehicle collision at 2:20 p.m. Tuesday at East Holly Street and North Audubon Avenue. Percy Lee Graham Jr., 36, of Miller Avenue was charged with a stop-sign violation.
*Damages were estimated at $5,000 in a two-vehicle crash at 12:15 p.m. Tuesday on North Berkeley Boulevard near East Ash Street. Ruth B. Davis, 78, of Langston Drive, was charged with a safe-movement violation.
*A sport utility vehicle was demolished in a wreck at 10:30 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. 70 East near N.C. 111 South. The driver, Derek Dixon, 18, of Scott Street, was charged with fictitious registration, no operator's license and reckless driving. His secured bond was set at $1,000. The SUV was valued at $7,000.
Investigations
Wayne County law-enforcement officers are investigating these reports:
*Pellets were shot at two homes on Tuesday, causing about $550 in damages, Goldsboro police said. A bedroom was shattered at a home in the 300 block of East Holly Street, and a van window was broken in the 800 block of North Taylor Street. No one was injured. A burgundy car was seen in the area of both incidents. Two windows also may have been broken in a similar manner at Dillon Supply Co. at 1035 N. William St. Damage was set at $1,600.
*A table saw, two stepladders, an extension ladder and a box of tools were stolen from a construction site in the 100 block of Woodmere Lane, sheriff's deputies said. Jose DeVarona of Pikeville put a $1,700 value on the property.
*A green 1996 Ford Explorer was stolen from the 400 block of South Madison Avenue, police said. The vehicle's value, owned by the resident, Jack Wallace, was not listed.
