65 building permits issued in April

The Wayne County Building Inspections Department issued 65 building permits in April, and all but 19 were for new homes.
Total estimated cost of all the projects came to about $7.3 million, with the average new home costing about $130,000. The most expensive was a 7,000-square-foot home near Fremont estimated at $270,000.
