Man dies after ATV accident

The operator of a four-wheeler was killed Saturday night in an accident at Busco Beach, the Highway Patrol said today.
The victim was identified as 20-year-old Mark Conrad Haugen II of Richlands.
State Trooper R.T. Edwards said the four-wheeler had run off the right side of the road at about 10:30 p.m. and struck a tree, ejecting the rider.
Haugen was rushed by a Wayne County ambulance to Wayne Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The private beach is at the end of Bryan Boulevard.
The 2006 Polaris four-wheeler, valued at $4,000, was demolished.
The traffic fatality was the eighth this year in Wayne County.
