Plonk Disability Walk to be held May 11

The 10th Annual Hal Plonk Disability Awareness Walk, sponsored by the Mayor's Committee on Persons with Disabilities, will be held May 11.
Walkers will line up at 9:45 a.m. at St. Paul United Methodist Church at 204 E. Chestnut St. for the five-block walk, which starts at 10 a.m.
The Goldsboro Middle School Band will perform and there will be booths, clowns, refreshments, balloons and an interpretive dance ensemble will also perform.
Parking is available across from the police department.
Anyone interested in participating in the walk should register by May 4 by calling Scottie Weathers at 731-4315.
