Deadline Friday for signup for Alzheimer's workshop

A free workshop for people caring for Alzheimer's patients will be held next week in Goldsboro.
Pre-registration is required by Friday for the workshop that will take place Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at St. Paul's United Methodist Church on Chestnut Street.
Sponsored by the Eastern N.C. Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association, the featured speaker during the event will be Melanie Bunn, lead trainer and consultant for the chapter.
The day's agenda will be divided into three parts - early, middle, and end stage concerns. Discussed will be questions about early issues in caregiving, changing resistance to care into positive interactions, and finally facing the end of life concerns and issues.
A light lunch and refreshments will be provided. Books will also be available for sale.
