Father, 68, indicted for shooting son

A 68-year-old man who fatally shot his son last year during an argument has been indicted by the Wayne County Grand Jury on a charge of involuntary manslaughter.
Warren Allen Rudisill was accused of shooting Henry Alva Rudisill, 23, on Aug. 15 in their home at 306 N. Leslie St.
Goldsboro police did not charge the father at first, because they said they could not determine if the shooting was accidental or intentional. Police Sgt. David Kelly said both men had guns. The two men had a history of arguments, police said.
The case was presented to the grand jury by police Investigator G.N. Lynch.
Robbery indictments
Three men have been indicted on multiple armed robbery charges involving restaurant delivery men.
Derek Andre Kornegay, 19, of South Herman Street and Julian Sauls, 19, of Hugh Street were indicted on three charges, and Gilbert McNeil, 20, of Olivia Lane was indicted on two charges.
The men were developed as suspects as the crimes were being investigated. Police obtained a search warrant for a house on South Herman Street, about a block from where the food orders were delivered. Police said they seized evidence belonging to the three victims from the home.
The first robbery occurred July 14, when Daniel Newton was delivering an order for Pizza Hut to Bright Street. Then on July 29, Michael McCrae was robbed while delivering a order to the same address for Pizza Hut. The third robbery took place July 31 when Futt Suan Wong delivered an order from a Chinese restaurant to an Evergreen Avenue address.
Kornegay and McNeil were arrested Aug. 2. Sauls was apprehended Aug. 4. All three were jailed in lieu of $100,000 secured bonds. Investigator M.K. Horstmann presented the case to the grand jury.
Assault indictments
A man charged with exchanging gunfire with authorities after a chase Sept. 21 on West New Hope Road has been indicted for six felony assaults.
Korey Vashon Hill, 30, of Daly Boulevard, Mount Olive, was indicted on five counts of assault on a law-enforcement officer with a deadly weapon and one count of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and fleeing to elude arrest. His secured bond was set at $50,000.
The second man, Anthony Juan Davis, 34, of Franklin Street, Mount Olive, has not been indicted in the case. But he was charged with drug trafficking offenses.
Hill and Davis were accused of fleeing from two Goldsboro-Wayne County Drug Squad officers who tried to stop a green Jeep as part of an ongoing drug investigation. Hill, the driver, refused to stop but was cornered and stopped after a collision with two unmarked patrol vehicles.
When the officers tried to apprehend the two men, the suspects allegedly opened fire. Hill and Davis were wounded, taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital, treated and later released.
Other indictments
During their monthly session, the grand jurors handed up 14 true bills on drug charges and 14 more on such property crimes as burglary, breaking and entering, larceny and possession of stolen goods.
Eleven people were indicted on assault charges, four on sexual offenses, three on weapons violations and one each for traffic, fraud and robbery charges.
Four people also were indicted as habitual felons. If they are convicted of a fourth non-overlapping crime, they would be sentenced to longer terms.
Several people were indicted on charges in more than one crime category.
