PIKEVILLE -- A total of $189,725 in cash and cocaine with an estimated street value of $89,600 were seized and three people arrested Monday at a home in the 100 block of Pinkney Road.

The cash and drugs were seized and the arrests were made after a weeklong investigation by the Goldsboro-Wayne County Drug Squad, the State Bureau of Investigation, the Wilson County Sheriff's Office and the Wilson Police Department.

One resident, Jacinto Reyes Ramirez, and Salvador Guzman-Rodriguez of Wilson were charged with three counts of conspiracy to traffic in cocaine. Both men were placed in the Wilson County Jail in lieu of $500,000 secured bonds.

The other resident, Maria Christina Gonzales, 36, was charged with possession of cocaine, possession of a weapon of mass destruction, maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of keeping and selling cocaine and child abuse. She was placed in the Wayne County Jail in lieu of a $50,000 secured bond.

The raid was the second in the last two weeks by the same law-enforcement agencies in northern Wayne County. Three people were arrested and about $200,000 in cash and $59,310 worth of cocaine were seized Feb. 17 in homes in the 100 block of Cougar Lane and 1300 block of Gurley Dairy Road.

The Drug Squad arrested two people on felony charges Wednesday after a search of a home in the 100 block of Ginger Drive. Officers also arrested three people on felony drug charges Thursday after a search of a home in the 800 block of Ruskin Road near Dudley. The latter search yielded $14,000 worth of methamphetamine, $750 worth of marijuana and $1,031 in cash.
