Early morning robbery

Officers investigate the scene of a robbery at the Handy Mart on U.S. 70 and N.C. 581 west of Goldsboro around 1:38 a.m. today. The robber fled the scene. A wayne County Sheriff's Office deputy spotted the suspect's car in U.S. 70 and gave chase. The suspect crashed and escaped on foot.
