Goldsboro police chase on road results in 2 felony drug charges

A 22-year-old man from Atlanta was arrested Wednesday by the Goldsboro-Wayne County Drug Squad after a brief vehicle chase on Pineview Cemetery Road.
He will be charged with two felony drug offenses as a result of a subsequent search of his vehicle by canine officers.
Adrian Rodrique Aveles was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana and maintaining a vehicle for the purpose of keeping and selling marijuana.
He also was charged with failure to heed blue lights and a siren, a registration violation and no operator's license. He was placed in the Wayne County Jail in lieu of a $25,000 secured bond.
Goldsboro-Wayne County Crime Stoppers assisted in the investigation.
