Nominations sought for Mount Olive DSA

The 54th annual Mount Olive Jaycee Distinguished Service Award Banquet will be held on Thursday, Feb. 23 at the Southern Wayne Country Club. The cost for the banquet will be $15 at the door. The doors will open at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner and the program.
Seven outstanding citizens who have made contributions to Mount Olive and the surrounding area will be recognized. Each year, the Lions Club, Kiwanis, Chamber of Commerce, Exchange Club, Rotary and the Southern Wayne County Business and Professional Women's Club sponsors and presents one of six awards, including Boss of the Year, Senior Citizen Award, Outstanding Youth, Out-standing Public Servant, Outstanding Young Edu-cator, and Outstanding Young Farmer. The Mount Olive Jaycees sponsors the Distinguished Service Award.
Nomination forms are available at the Mount Olive Area Chamber of Commerce and the Mount Olive College Student Development Office.
The deadline to submit nominations is Feb. 10. All applications should be submitted to Post Office Box 7, Mount Olive, N.C. 28365.
