Commanders make stop at Seymour Johnson AFB

Two high-ranking Air Force generals will be inspecting the 916th Air Refueling Wing at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base this week.
Gen. Duncan J. McNabb is commander of Air Mobility Command, based at Scott Air Force Base, Ill. Air Mobility Command is responsible for airlift, medical evacuations and aerial refueling.
McNabb will visit Seymour Johnson and the 916th today, said Capt. Shannon Mann of the 916th's public affairs office.
McNabb was scheduled to address the Base Community Council this afternoon at the Goldsboro Country Club. From there, he was to return to the base to inspect the 916th's facilities.
"He's basically doing a commander's call with about 100 full-time reservists and civilians, to talk about the mission of the Air Force and Air Mobility Command," Mann said.
Mann said McNabb would spend time talking with group and squadron commanders about the mission of the 916th, its role in air mobility around the world, and its involvement in the Wayne County community.
Lt. Gen. John A. Bradley is chief of Air Force Reserve and commander of Air Force Reserve Command, based at Robins Air Force Base, Ga.
Bradley will visit Seymour Johnson on Friday and Saturday. He will meet with members of the Wayne County Chamber of Commerce's Military Affairs Committee and the leaders of the 4th Fighter Wing and 916th Air Refueling Wing on Friday night. On Saturday morning, Bradley will oversee a re-enlistment ceremony, in which nine reservists will re-enlist in the squadron.
Bradley will also examine the 916th's operational readiness, testing the squadron's ability to deploy at a moment's notice.
