Wayne County schools schedule open house hours

Classes for students in Wayne County Public Schools resume on Monday, Jan. 2, with the six high schools planning open houses for parents and students to meet the second semester teachers.
On Thursday, Jan. 5, Southern Wayne will hold open house from 5-6:30 p.m. Students can pick up theirsecond semester schedules at that time.
Three schools will hold open house on Friday, Jan. 13. Rosewood, Eastern Wayne, and Charles B. Aycock high schools' open houses will be held from 1-3 p.m.
Spring Creek High School has also tentatively set its open house for Jan. 13 from 1-3 p.m.
Goldsboro High School will hold its open house on Thursday, Jan. 26, from 7:00-8:30 p.m.
School officials said parents should be reminded that first semester grades for students won't be available during the open houses. Report cards for all grades will be sent home with students on Jan. 23.
Schools will be closed Jan. 16 for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.
