3 people charged
with drug offenses
Three Goldsboro people were arrested Wednesday by the Goldsboro Police Department's Support Services Division and charged with multiple drug offenses.
Two pounds of marijuana, more than 10 grams of cocaine and several Hydrocodone pills were seized from an apartment in the 900 block of Fairview Circle.
While on patrol, Officers Dave Cloutier and Thomas Collins investigated a report of suspicious activity at the apartment and arrested the three people.
Dexter Taylor, 24, of South Taylor Street was charged with trafficking in opiates, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine, maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of keeping and selling marijuana and cocaine and misdemeanor trespass. He was placed in the Wayne County Jail in lieu of a $260,000 secured bond.
The resident, Sakendra Pittman, 18, was charged with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana, possession with intent to sell and deliver cocaine and maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of keeping and selling marijuana and cocaine. She was jailed in lieu of a $20,000 secured bond.
Spencer Alexander Ward, 23, of Franklin Street was charged with trafficking in illegal drugs. He was turned over to the federal Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
Man wanted
Goldsboro police are seeking information on the location of 29-year-old Montrail Ortiz Davis, who is wanted on three felony charges.
Davis was described as black, 5-feet-8 and 160 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a medium complexion. He has a tattoo of the world on his right arm and a cross on his left arm. Davis has ties to Fairview Homes, Beal Street and Dudley.
Anyone with information on his location was asked to call Investigator G.N. Lynch at 580-4214 or Goldsboro-Wayne County Crime Stoppers at 735-2255. Callers may remain anonymous, and they may be eligible for a cash reward.
Dryer fire
A dryer was destroyed Wednesday in a fire at Ash Street Laundrymat at 503 E. Ash St., the Goldsboro Fire Department reported.
The owner, Randy Johnson, put the fire out by the time firefighters arrived within three minutes of the 9:21 a.m. call. The dryer was valued at $3,500.
"Someone was drying clothes, and the clothes caught fire," said Fire Lt. Frank Sasser. Johnson "said it looked like nylon or plastic in the dryer caused the fire."
Sixteen firefighters responded with three engines, a ladder and a command car. They pulled the clothes from the dryer, drenched them, ventilated the building and helped clean up.
Man wanted
A 26-year-old man is being sought by Goldsboro and LaGrange police on charges of armed robbery of a bank in LaGrange and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
Fremandeus Connell Williams was described as 6-feet-3 and 185 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He may be in the Devereaux Street area.

The N.C. Bankers Association also is offering a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and indictment of Williams. Confidential information may be called to 1-800-209-2293.
Missing
A 16-year-old girl was reported missing Wednesday by relatives to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office. Lequista Shontrel Davis of 321 Woodland Church Road was described as black, 5-feet-5 and 185 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a medium complexion.
Ms. Davis left home at Oct. 31 to live with a woman friend on Everittsville Road and then left again to live on Willard Lane. The resident left the Willard Road home and went to Virginia. Anyone with information on her location was asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 731-1481.
Man wanted
A Wayne County teenager is wanted by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office on multiple felony offenses in connection with a crime wave in the Fremont and Eureka areas.
Matthew LaVonne Brantley, 18, was charged with three felony counts of breaking and entering of a vehicle, larceny and possession of stolen goods. He also is wanted on arrest order for failure to appear in court to answer a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest.
Anyone with information on Brantley's location was asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 731-1481, Detective Sgt. Rick Farfour at 731-1497 or Goldsboro-Wayne County Crime Stoppers at 735-2255. Callers do not have to reveal their names, and they may be eligible for a cash reward.
Driver injured
A driver was injured and damages were estimated at $8,500 in a two-vehicle collision at 2:40 p.m. Tuesday at Mark Edwards and Hood Swamp roads, the Highway Patrol said.
Edelmira Urieta Nunez, 27, of Drummersville Road, Seven Springs, was treated and released from Wayne Memorial Hospital, a spokeswoman said.
The other driver, William Benjamin Foster II, 28, of Hooks Avenue, Fremont, was charged with a yield violation. The report said the southbound pickup truck that Hooks was driving for the Eastern Wayne Sanitary District had collided with Ms. Nunez's eastbound car.
Investigations
Goldsboro police are investigating these reports:
*A leaf blower, a weed trimmer and a hedge trimmer were stolen between Monday and Tuesday from an apartment in the 400 block of North Carolina Street, police said. The thief had damaged a wall and a window to get inside, the report said. The resident, S.C. Tubbs, estimated the value of leaf blower and weed trimmer at $885 and damages at $350. The hedge trimmer, valued at $80, was owned by Anthony Jay Pack of Pikeville.
*A repossessed gold, four-door 1998 Pontiac Grand Am was stolen between Monday and Tuesday from Home Credit at 313 N. Berkeley Blvd., police said. The car was valued at $7,000.
*Three windows at a bus stop shelter at Lincoln Drive and Slaughter Street were smashed between Monday and Tuesday, police said. Damages were estimated at $750.
*Eight old car radiators were stolen between Tuesday and Wednesday after two padlocks were damaged at Edwards' Service Station at 501 N. William St., police said. The radiators were valued at $100. Damages were set at $30.
