Prepare for takeoff. The 2005 Wings Over Wayne Air Show will take place high above Seymour Johnson Air Force Base Nov. 5.
Base gates will open at 9 a.m., and the show will begin at 10:30.
Aerial performances will include military and civilian aircraft.
A combined arms demonstration will feature 4th Fighter Wing mission commanders leading F-15E Strike Eagles, A-10 Thunderbolts and paratroopers in a display of battlefield tactics.
Other military performers will include the F-15 and A-10 East Coast Demonstration Teams, the F-18 Hornet National Demonstration Team, The United States Air Force Heritage Flight and the All American Freefall Team.
Civilian demonstrations include Flights Unlimited and the Geico Skytypers.
On the runway, a NASCAR automobile will race an F-15E Strike Eagle. Also on the ground will be military and civilian aircraft static displays.
"We're extremely excited to be opening the gates next month for Wings Over Wayne," said Capt. Allen Herritage of 4th Fighter Wing public affairs office. "The people of Wayne County are such good neighbors. This is our chance to invite them in and show them what we do. We look forward to seeing everyone come out."
