He's 7, and he has a new CD

When Blake Price becomes a famous country music singer, remember you read about him here first.
The 7-year-old Dudley boy released his first CD two weeks ago, and it is selling in local stores.
He and his family hope one day his music will sell from coast to coast.
Blake started out his stage career in child beauty contests, but by the time he reached the age of 6, he decided he wanted to concentrate on singing, which he started when he was 3 years old.

"He said he just wanted to sing and nothing else," said his mother, Tasha.
The CD contains a variety of music, but Blake especially likes country, gospel and bluegrass, she said.
Blake's father, Glenn, said his son loves to be on stage. And the bigger the crowd, the better he likes it. His father, who serves as a disc jockey at parties and other events, helps him with his songs. Blake often performs at the parties his father works, belting out numbers like a much older talent.
"I like being on stage, and I like a lot of people," Blake said.
"First time I heard him sing, he was sitting in a car seat in the back of the car," Glenn Price said. "I said, 'Do you like that song?' He said, 'Me like that song.'"
Blake even dreams about performing.
One night, he dreamed he was in church, singing. His parents heard singing coming from his room and when they went in, they found him singing in his sleep. He said Jesus had told him in his dream to sing.
Blake told his parents about his dream the next morning.
"You weren't in the dream," he told them.
His father said, "We were sitting here, beside you on your bed."
"That's why you weren't in my dream," Blake replied.
"We got into church heavy after that," his father said.
Blake's CDs can be purchased at the Southern Exposure Restaurant in Faison, the Thomas Dean Florist and Tony Martin's Salon in Mount Olive and at the Downeast Travel Center in Dudley.
Although he loves music, Blake has other interests, too. He likes to play softball, ride his go-cart and play with his dog.
He also enjoys going with his parents to White Lake. After he makes it big in the music business, he said, he'll buy a house there for his family.
