Webster James elected trustee for Kiwanis International

Webster James of Goldsboro, a member of the Kiwanis Club of Goldsboro, has been elected an International Trustee for Kiwanis International.

He will begin service a three-year term in October as board counselor for the Alabama, New England and Andean-Central American districts.

James was elected at the 90th annual convention of Kiwanis International in Honolulu this summer. More than 6,000 people from around the world attend the convention.

James has served in many capacities in Kiwanis including Carolinas Governor, 1999-2000; Lt. Governor of both the Carolina and Florida districts; and Carolinas District treasurer, 2003-2004.

On the international level, he has served on the magazine committee and the new club building committee. He was chairman of the public relations committee for three years, and chairman of the branding and marketing for North America committee.

James is married to Celia James, principal of Meadow Lane Elementary School. He is owner and president of Comprehensive Communications Services, LLC.
