Fugitive found
One of two fugitives wanted by federal and local authorities was found Wednesday in Wayne County, officials said.
Swanel Moses, 51, was found in a home in the 100 block of Dawson Drive in Edwards Mobile Home Park. He was wanted in Wake County for a probation violation resulting from a charge of assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill while inflicting serious injury.
Moses' photo appeared in Wednesday's News-Argus. The Wayne County Sheriff's Office received an anonymous call at 2 p.m. Wednesday about Moses' location. He was placed in the Wayne County Jail under $50,000 secured bond.
The other fugitive, Kenneth Ray Edwards, 28, remained at large. He was wanted on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender and a probation violation resulting from a charge of indecent liberties with a child. He is believed to be in Raleigh or Goldsboro.
Wanted
Wiggins
A 42-year-old man is wanted by Goldsboro police on charges of armed robbery, conspiracy, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill while inflicting serious injury and second-degree kidnapping.
Bruce Wiggins, who has had Fussell and Beal street addresses in Goldsboro, was described as black, 6-feet-3 and 190 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He may frequent stores on the south side of Goldsboro and also has lived in New York City.
Anyone with information on his location was asked to call police Investigator Neal Lynch at 580-4214 or Goldsboro-Wayne County Crime Stoppers at 735-2255. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
Accidents
A Wayne County school collided with a car Tuesday at Rosewood and Charlie Braswell roads, the Highway Patrol said. Neither driver, nor any of the seven student passengers on the bus were injured.
The bus driver, Katherine P. Ham, 48, of Radford Drive, was charged with a yield violation at a stop sign. A report said the school bus was turning left from Charlie Braswell Road at 7:35 a.m. and it collided with a westbound car that was driven by Miranda C. Beasley, 23, of Autumn Winds Drive.
*A driver from Kinston was injured and damages were estimated at $10,000 in a two-vehicle collision at 5:05 p.m. Monday at N.C. 111 and Indian Springs Road. Adriana Lopez, 30, was taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital and transferred to Pitt County Memorial Hospital, where she was listed today in good condition. Lopez was charged with a stop-sign violation. Her car collided with a sport utility vehicle driven by Luis Angel Carrasquillo, 21, of Albertson.
*Three people were injured and damages were estimated at $6,500 in a two-car crash at 2:45 p.m. Sunday on St. John Church Road near Dollard Town Road. Donna M. Phipps, 63, of South Drive, and her passenger, Genevieve McSherry, 71, of North Harding Drive, and the other driver, Donte Jamall Edwards, 17, of North Beston Road, LaGrange, were treated and released from Wayne Memorial Hospital. Edwards was charged with a yield violation. The report said the car that he was driving collided with the oncoming, eastbound auto that Ms. Phipps was operating.
*A driver was injured in a one-car wreck at 6 p.m. Sunday on Pikeville-Princeton Road near Hinnant Road. Kaitlin Suzanne Thomas, 18, of Davis Thomas Road, Pikeville, was released after emergency-room treatment. She was charged with reckless driving and driving left of center. The car, valued at $2,500, was destroyed.
*A motorcyclist was injured and damages were estimated at $10,000 in a collision at 12:52 p.m. Saturday at U.S. 117 and Stoney Hill Road. Nicholas Eugene Gwaltney, 29, of Moye Road, Fremont, was released after emergency-room treatment. Lenwood David Edwards Jr., 62, of Perkins Road, Pikeville, was charged with a safe-movement violation.
*A driver from Wilson was injured in a one-car wreck at 2 a.m. Sept. 8 on U.S. 117 near Nahunta Road. Patrick Kelly Thurman, 47, was released after emergency-room treatment. He was charged with driving left of center. Damage was fixed at $500.
Investigations
Wayne County law-enforcement officers are investigating these reports:
*Four telephones, two televisions, a combination radio and compact disc player and a combination radio, CD and tape player were stolen between Tuesday and Wednesday from the In Style Salon at 204 N. Herman St., Goldsboro police said. The thief also damaged a vending machine. The stolen property was valued at $669. Damages were set at $75.
*A compact disc player was stolen between Tuesday and Wednesday from a car parked in the 2100 block of Peachtree Street, police said. The resident and owner, Gene Erskine Willoughby, said the player was worth $250.
*A riding MTD lawn tractor valuked at $2,500 was stolen between Tuesday and Wednesday from the 200 block of Belfast Road.
Missing family
FREMONT -- A couple and their 2-year-old daughter have been reported missing by relatives to Fremont police.
The husband, Key McNair, 29, was described as black, 5-feet-10 and 230 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a medium complexion. His wife, Quantara Faison McNair, 29, was described as black, 5-feet-1 and 150 pounds with a dark complexion. Their child, Keymon McNair, has a medium complexion. They may be in a red 1982 Dodge.

Missing
A 15-year-old Goldsboro girl was reported missing Wednesday by relatives to Goldsboro police. Dominique Danyelle Howell of 604 S. Taylor St. was described as black, 5-feet-2 and 135 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a medium complexion. She was seen last at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday. Anyone with information on her location was asked to call police at 705-6572.
