Missing person

Richard Shawnquale Elliott, 21, has been reported missing by his fiancee, Inem'ka Bizzell. Elliott was described as black, 5-foot-6 feet 6 inches tall, weighing approximately 140 pounds. He has black hair, brown eyes, and may be wearing a blue baseball cap. Ms. Bizzell told Goldsboro police that Elliott was headed to a friend's house on Carolina Street Sunday afternoon and has not been heard from since.

Officer struck

Goldsboro police officer Sonja N. Cates was struck by Wendy Beth Brock after she advised Ms. Brock that she was under arrest, police reported. Officers from the Wayne County Sheriff's Office and Wayne Memorial Hospital Police helped restrain the subject, who was charged with multiple offenses.

Incidents

Wayne County law enforcement officers are investigating these incidents:

*Two vehicles were reported stolen Monday morning from Deacon Jones Preowned Cars on Berkeley Boulevard. A green 2005 Hummer H2 valued at $48,000 and a 2003 Chevrolet S-10 Extended Cab valued at $15,500 were discovered missing when employees arrived for work. Entry was gained through a window in the rear of the building, according to reports.

*Chuck Futrelle of Culligan Water on U.S. 117 South reported a Campbell Hausfield air compressor valued at $339 missing, and damage to a chain gate was set at $100.

*Employees of Willie's Radiator & Muffler Service on James Street reported six wheel rotors, five vehicle water pumps and four vehicle compressors stolen from an outside storage area. Value of the missing items was set at $600.

*Russell Sasser of South Best Street told officers that an unknown subject entered his home by prying open the front door, removing a color TV valued at $450 and five porcelain dolls valued at $400.

*Arleatha W. Brewington of North Alabama Street reported her purse missing after she returned home from a grocery store. Mrs. Brewington told police she set her purse inside the house and said it was stolen when she returned to her vehicle to bring in groceries. Over $200 worth of items were missing in the purse.

*Employees of Sweet Grandma's Grill reported an unknown subject entered the restaurant by breaking a glass door, then removed a cash register with $4 cash inside. Damage to the door was set at $100, the cash register was valued at $450.

Accidents

*Brittan Elizabeth Wheeler, 20, of Community Drive, was charged with failure to reduce speed after her 2001 Pontiac rear-ended a 2004 Jeep driven by Robert A. Hixson of Wichita Falls, Texas, the Highway Patrol reported. Total damage was set at $11,500.

*Damage was set at $4,500 after Jeremy Carlyle Williams, 17, of Faro Road, Fremont, ran off the road in a 1991 Toyota. Williams was traveling northbound on N.C. 581. His vehicle struck a ditch and mailbox before coming to rest on the shoulder.

*Total damage was set at $10,000 when Lenwood David Edwards, 62, of Perkins Road, Pikeville, attempted to make a left turn onto U.S. 117 from rural paved road 1316 and collided with a 2006 Yamaha motorcycle driven by Nicholas Eugene Gwaltney, 29, of Fremont. Gwaltney was traveling southbound on U.S. 117. Edwards was driving a 2002 Chevrolet. Damage to his vehicle was set at $7,000, while damage to the motorcycle was set at $3,000.
