Pat Boone to open concert series season

A performance by Pat Boone will open the 2005-06 season of the On Stage Concert Series at Johnston Community College in Smithfield.
Boone's "Farewell Tour" concert is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 9, at 8 p.m. in the Paul A. Johnston Auditorium and is one of six performances included in a season ticket.
The second show will be "3 Redneck Tenors -- A New Musical Adventure," on Friday, Oct. 21, at 8 p.m.
Also on the schedule are:
Neuse Little Theatre's "'The Melody Lingers On': The Songs of Irving Berlin," Friday and Saturday, Nov. 18 and 19, 8 p.m. and Sunday, Nov. 20, 3 p.m.
Comic James Gregory, Thursday, Jan. 19, 2006, 7 p.m.
The von Trapp Children, Thursday, Feb. 16, 2006, 7 p.m. and
The Oak Ridge Boys, Saturday, March 25, 2006, 3 and 8 p.m.
Season tickets cost $125. Aisle seats cost an additional $25.
Individual tickets are also on sale and range from $15 to $37.50, depending on the performance.
