The Annual Michael Martin Scholarship Golf Tournament will be held Thursday at the Southern Wayne Country Club.
The event, held in memory of state Highway Patrolman Michael Martin, who was killed in the line of duty, raises money each year for scholarships at Mount Olive College.
Martin was an alumnus of the school.
Since 1988 the tournament has raised more than $182,000 to help MOC students with their education.
The event raised about $25,000 last year.
Tee times will be at 8:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. Lunch will be served about 12:30 and the final trophies should be awarded around 6 p.m.
This is the fourth year that the tournament has had underwriting sponsorship from Friendly Mart convenience stores.
