Robberies
A thief grabbed a cash register with $60 and fled from a store; armed men barged into a home in Dudley and stole property; and another man foiled an armed robbery in separate crimes, according to reports.
A black man entered the K&S Beverage and Grocery store at 317 E. Elm St. at about 1:25 a.m. today and threatened to punch the woman clerk, a Goldsboro police report said.
The suspect swung at the clerk and missed, the report said, but grabbed the register and fled.
The robber was described as 5-feet-6-8 inches tall and about 205 pounds. Witnesses said he wore a white shirt, brown denim pants, a black scarf and a camouflage hat.
Three black men, two armed with firearms, barged into a home in the 800 block of Outlaw Road before dawn today, a Wayne County sheriff's report said.
The occupants said gunshots damaged a wall, a mirror and the roof of the home and a pickup truck. Damages were estimated at $700.
One suspect wore a white T-shirt, red ball cap and blue pants. The burglars fled in a dark truck without stealing anything, the report said.
Earlier, a resident in the 700 block of East Chestnut Street told Goldsboro police a black man knocked on his door at about 9:30 p.m. Wednesday.
When Percy Black opened his door, the suspect displayed a handgun and told Black "to give it up," the report said. Black turned around and grabbed a shotgun from another room, and when he returned to the door, the suspect was gone.
The suspect was described as 6-feet tall and 140 pounds with a slim build, and he wore a blue shirt.

7 accidents
Ten people were injured and damages were estimated at $46,100 in seven recent traffic collisions in Wayne County, officers reported.
*A Goldsboro driver was injured in a two-car collision at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at East Beech and North Daisy streets, Goldsboro police said. Toni Emerald Wynn, 23, of East Beech Street was treated and released from Wayne Memorial Hospital, a spokeswoman said. A northbound driver, Ithamar Amezquita, 48, of Quaker Drive, was charged with a stop-sign violation. Ms. Wynn was going west. Damages were set at $4,000.
*Damages were estimated at $11,000 in a two-vehicle crash at 5:44 p.m. Wednesday in a parking lot in the 1500 block of Wayne Memorial Drive, police said. One motorist, Glenn Allen Hausenfluke, 50, of Sparks, Nev., was charged with a safe-movement violation. The report said Hausenfluke backed into a westbound sport utility vehicle that was driven by Kelly C. Leary, 30, of Suttontown Road, Faison.
*Three people were injured and damages were estimated at $7,000 in a two-vehicle wreck at 1:45 p.m. Monday at U.S. 117 and O'Berry Road, the Highway Patrol said. One driver, Alonzo James Davis III, 79, of East James Street, Mount Olive, was treated, admitted and released from Wayne Memorial Hospital. Two passengers in the other vehicle, Linda Holley, 51, and Michele Holley, 14, both of Emmaus Church Road, Dudley, were released after emergency-room treatment. Davis, who was going north, was charged with a stoplight violation. The other driver, Larry Ray Holley, 53, of Emmaus Church Road, was going west.
*A southbound driver was injured in a one-car wreck at 4:20 p.m. Sunday on U.S. 117, north of O'Berry Road, the Highway Patrol said. Amy Nicole Hill, 20, of Bell Lane, Mount Olive, was released after emergency-room treatment. She was charged with speeding after her car struck standing water, ran off the left side and hit the median cable guide wire. Damages were put at $4,100.
*Four people were injured and damages were estimated at $7,500 in a two-vehicle collision at 6:40 p.m. Saturday on N.C. 581 near U.S. 70, the Highway Patrol said. One driver, Robert Glen Casey III, 38, of Bill Circle, and the other driver, Travis Earl Atkinson, 16, of Mary Lane, and his passengers, Stephen McIntyre, 16, of Gloucester Road and Anthony Gibson, 15, of Dudley, were released after emergency-room treatment. Atkinson, who was going south, was charged with improper passing. The report said Atkinson was passing Casey's pickup truck and a van as Casey was slowing to make a left turn to a driveway.
*A northbound driver was injured and damages were estimated at $7,000 in a two-car crash at 5:57 p.m. Aug. 11 on Cuyler Best Road near New Hope Road, the Highway Patrol said. Rafael Rivas Gonzalez, 25, of Exum Mill Road was released after emergency-room treatment. The other motorist who was leaving a driveway -- Ashley D. Burnette, 18, of East New Hope Road -- was charged with a safe-movement violation.
*A driver was injured and his car was demolished in a wreck at 8:50 a.m. Aug. 9 on Old Smithfield Road near James Hinson Road, the Highway Patrol said. Orlando Maurice Atkinson, 35, of Grantham School Road was released after emergency-room treatment. He was charged with exceeding a safe speed and unsafe tires after his car ran off the right side, then careened off the left side, struck a ditch and overturned. The car was valued at $5,500.
Investigations
Wayne County sheriff's deputies are investigating these reports:
*About $8,060 worth or property was stolen between Friday and Wednesday from a home in the 900 block of Moye Road, sheriff's deputies said. The property included 11 cabinets, a bath tub, a furnace, a dishwasher, a fireplace mantel, two sinks, an exhaust vent and shutters. The home, owned by Triad Finance of Jacksonville, Fla., also was ransacked, but no damage estimate was listed.
*About $2,000, a white gold chain with diamonds, a Rolex watch and 12 DVDs were stolen between Monday and Wednesday from a home in the 1100 block of North George Street, Goldsboro police said. The thief had pried open a door to get inside. The resident, Dernold Williams, put a $5,216 value on his property, in addition to the cash.
*A window air conditioner, video-game equipment and five DVD movies were stolen between Tuesday and Wednesday from a home in the 600 block of West Holly Street, police said. The resident, Raymond Carlo, said his property was worth $637.
Missing
A 15-year-old Goldsboro girl was reported missing Wednesday to Goldsboro police. Tiffany Marie Manning of 902-A Hopkins St. was described as black, 5-feet-1 inch tall and 110 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a brown complexion. When she was seen last at 1 p.m. Tuesday, and was wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans and black shoes. Anyone with information on her location is asked to call police at 705-6572.
