Two sentenced in shootings

Two Goldsboro men have pleaded guilty to unrelated shootings and have been sentenced in Wayne County Superior Court to about three years in prison. One got an active term. The other received probation.
Brian Devon Harvey, 25, of Central Heights Road was sentenced by Judge Jay Hockenbury Jr. to 28 to 43 months in prison. Harvey also ordered to pay $704 in restitution to the victim, Leroy Randolph Jr.
A police report said Harvey had argued with Randolph on July 16, 2004, outside of the victim's home in Tanglewood Mobile Home Park on Central Heights Road. Harvey then returned with a handgun, shot Randolph in the leg and fled.
Randolph was treated for his injury and released later from Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Henry Calvin Jones, 25, of Courtyard Circle, was placed on probation for shooting Victor Ingram, 35, of Dudley on Feb. 28 at Rosewood Avenue and Seymour Drive in Goldsboro.
Jones could not post bail and was credited with 140 days in jail while awaiting his sentencing. He pleaded guilty to a lesser offense, assault with a deadly weapon while inflicting serious injury.
Judge Hockenbury suspended the remainder of the 29-to-44-month sentence on the condition that Jones complete 36 months of supervised probation and 72 hours of community service and pay his court-appointed lawyer $325, a $200 fine and $951 in court costs.
