Nice weather sent many Wayne County residents back to traditionally cool treats this weekend. Here. Alisa Collins and Richard Walker taste the watermelons that were on sale at the corner of Spring Bank Road and N.C. 111 South Sunday afternoon. The watermelons are locally grown, although growers says this has not been a particularly good year for the fruit.
