The Goldsboro City Council will consider the rezoning of property on Wayne Country Day Road to permit a medical office at its meeting Monday night.
The council will meet at 7 p.m. at City Hall after a work session that starts at 5 p.m.
The rezoning of about two acres on Wayne Country Day Road near Isaac Drive from residential to office is being sought by J. Issac Gurley Farms. Neighbors spoke in opposition to the rezoning at public hearing earlier this month.
In other business, the council is expected to consider awarding a surveying contract for a planned bicycle and pedestrian trail along Parkway Drive, S. Harding Drive and New Hope Road. Council members also will consider the purchase of property along Berkeley Boulevard to make way for an extension of Royall Avenue.
At the work session, council members are expected to discuss a citizen's survey, proposed guidelines for the public comments portion of their meetings and the paving of a section of Hamilton Street, among other issues.
