Two plead guilty to robbery charges

Two women have pleaded guilty in Wayne County Superior Court to common-law robbery of three men in 2004 at a house on Brownrigg Street in Goldsboro.
Tonenetta Kaliliah McKnabb, 21, of Creech Street and Joslyn Gabrielle Moore, 19, of Brownrigg Street had been charged with three felony counts of armed robbery.
Ms. McKnabb and Ms. Moore were accused of robbing the men with three other people on Nov. 2. The three men, Christopher Cooper, Bradley Deaver and Brandon Barrow, had come to visit friends in the home, and as they were leaving, police said, they were approached by five people with weapons. Then the suspects robbed the men of cash and other property, police said, and fled inside.
Ms. Moore was arrested the night of the robbery, and Ms. McKnabb was arrested about two weeks later.
Ms. Moore pleaded guilty to one count of common-law robbery, a holdup without the use of a weapon. The other robbery charges were dismissed.
Ms. Moore was sentenced by Judge Jay D. Hockenbury Jr. of Wilmington to 30 days in prison, and she received a suspended term of 15 to 18 months. She also was placed on 36 months of supervised probation and ordered to do 72 hours of community service and pay her share of $667 in restitution to the victims, a $200 fine and court costs.
Ms. McKnabb pleaded guilty to three counts of common-law robbery. She was sentenced by Judge Jack W. Jenkins of Morehead City to a suspended term of 13 to 16 months in prison. She also was placed on supervised probation for 24 months and ordered to do 50 hours of community service, repay the victims a share of the $667 in restitution and pay court costs.
The three other male defendants had been sentenced to lengthy prison terms.
Ivan Devon Harvey Jr., 21, of Birddog Lane, Dudley, was sentenced to 65 to 87 months after pleading guilty to three counts of armed robbery. He was not arrested until about a month after the holdup. Harvey also was sentenced to a second 65-to-87-month term for other armed robberies.
Dwayne Lee Hardy, 21, of South Carolina Street was sentenced to 70 to 102 months after pleading guilty to armed robbery.
Jamal Clerfont, 21, of Brownrigg Street also was charged with three armed robbery counts but pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit armed robbery. He was sentenced to six months in prison followed by a suspended term of 25 to 39 months. Clerfont was placed on supervised probation for 36 months and ordered to pay restitution and court costs.
