Water safety, nature hikes among Cliffs park programs this month

SEVEN SPRINGS -- The Cliffs of the Neuse State Park will offer the following programs this month:
*"H2O Safety for Kids," Saturday, 11 a.m., lake bathhouse. Participants will not get in the water, but will learn how to be safe around water and the best way to help someone who may be in trouble.
*"Early Bird Tree Hike," Tuesday, 8:15 a.m., museum parking lot.
*"Papermaking," Thursday, 11 a.m., lake bathhouse. To make a reservation: 778-6234.
*"Tree Hike," Saturday, July 30, 11 a.m., museum parking lot.
*"Beaver Tails," Saturday, July 30, 2 p.m., lake bathhouse.
*"Leaf Prints," Sunday, July 31, 1:30 p.m., lake bathhouse. Learn about different kinds of leaves and create a leaf print.
