Goldsboro-Wayne Crime Stoppers and the Mount Olive Police Department are offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information on the whereabouts of Richard Lee Swinson, who is wanted for murder.
Swinson, 26, has been charged with the murder of Jennifer Louise McArthur, 22, of Fairview Homes in Goldsboro. She died June 30 from gunshot wounds while visiting an apartment at 2:15 a.m. on Daly Boulevard in Mount Olive.
Swinson has been seen in Mount Olive, Dudley and Goldsboro.
Mount Olive Police Chief Emmett Ballree said his officers "have been a day late and a dollar short" in catching up with Swinson. "We're hoping someone who knows where he is will want to get that reward."
Swinson was described as 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds with a slim build. He has shoulder-length black hair in corn rows, brown eyes and a tattoo on his right arm that says "stop it."
Information can be called in to Crime Stoppers at 735-2255 or to the Mount Olive police at 658-5031. Callers may remain anonymous.
