Holiday schedule
The Goldsboro/Wayne Transportation Authority will operate on a holiday schedule on Monday, July 4. Bus service will begin at 9:45 a.m. and end at 6:45 p.m.
Van service will be on its normal schedule. Passengers must call and schedule transportation no later than 2:30 p.m. Friday.
Learn how to baby-sit
The Wayne County Chapter of the American Red Cross is offering a baby-sitting course July 19 for youths ages 11 through 17.
It will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the chapter house, 600 N. George St. The cost is $35.
Participants will receive a backpack, a baby-sitting handbook and a first aid kit.
