Participants should bring a non-returnable photograph and be prepared to sing a song of their choice. If they would like musical accompaniment, they need to provide it.

Performances will be Aug. 19 through 21.

Health fair

A free "mini-health fair" is planned for Friday, June 24, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. at the Hispanic Community Development Center on Arrington Bridge Road in Dudley.

Willie Cartagena, co-director of the center, said there will be a variety of services offered as well as educational and preventive information. The WATCH mobile clinic will be on hand, as will representatives from Goshen Medical Center and Goldsboro Pediatrics, he said, providing mammograms, physicals, and screenings for vision, blood pressure, and diabetes.

While the fair is geared toward the Hispanic community, Cartagena said the public is also invited to attend.
