Driver injured

One driver was injured and damage was estimated at $12,000 Wednesday in two traffic collisions in Goldsboro, police reported.

*A driver from Clinton was injured and damage was estimated at $7,500 in a three-vehicle collision at 6:05 p.m. Wednesday on North Berkeley Boulevard near Green Drive, Goldsboro police said. Lindsey Brooke Tyndall, 17, was treated and released from Wayne Memorial Hospital, a spokeswoman said. Ms. Tyndall was charged with failure to reduce speed after the rear-end collision. The other drivers were listed as Jay Clarence Voss, 40, and Rosalynd Joanna Voss, 41, both of West Raintree Lane.

*Damage was estimated at $4,500 in a three-vehicle, rear-end crash at 12:56 p.m. Wednesday at Wayne Memorial Drive and Eighth Street, police said. Two drivers, Tamara Ashley Baltazar, 17, of Blackjack Church Road and Tracy Elaine Langston, 32, of Old Cornwallis Road, Princeton, were charged with failure to reduce speed. The third motorist was listed as Betty S. Coley, 58, of Wood Street.

Dogs stolen

An orange pit bull and eight puppies were stolen between June 1 and Wednesday from a home in the 100 block of Sandy Drive, Goldsboro police reported.

The owner and resident, Nicole Parks, told police that a black man in his 30s had stolen the dogs and was trying to sell them. The adult dog was valued at $700, and the puppies were worth $200 each, the report said.

Police are investigating these other reports:

*A white golf cart was stolen between Tuesday and Wednesday from the 1300 block of North Florida Street, police said. The owner and resident, Walter Batts, put a $3,200 value on it.

*A black Honda moped was stolen Wednesday from a church parking lot in the 500 block of North John Street, police said. The owner, Tonia Daniels of Goldsboro, said it was valued at $2,975.

Theft cleared

The theft of farm equipment in Indian Springs was solved Wednesday by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office with the arrest of a 20-year-old man.

Cornelius Wayne Smith of Louisville Road was charged with breaking and entering and larceny. He was placed in the Wayne County Jail in lieu of a $4,500 secured bond.

Goldsboro-Wayne County Crime Stoppers assisted in the investigation. Some property has been recovered, Detective Sgt. Ray Brogden said.

Car fire

A year-old car was destroyed Wednesday in a fire called suspicious by Wayne County authorities.

The car was found at 10 p.m. on a path off Ferry Bridge Road, the Wayne County Sheriff's Office reported. Oakland volunteer firefighters responded and notified authorities. Emergency Services official Blair Tyndall said the fire was intentionally set because of a strong smell of gasoline around the car.

The white 2004 Honda Civic, valued at $15,000, was registered to John Andrew Drew of Mount Olive, the report said.

Drug charges

Two Goldsboro men were arrested Wednesday by Wayne County authorities and charged with felony drug offenses.

*Aaron Bruno King, 28, of Gulley Street was charged by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office with possession of cocaine and driving while his license was revoked. He was placed in the Wayne County Jail in lieu of a $5,000 secured bond.

*Donshea Marquyl Phillips, 21, of Goldsboro was charged by Goldsboro police with possession with intent to sell and deliver marijuana. He was jailed in lieu of a $3,500 secured bond.

Joyriders

Three youths drove a golf cart through a gate Wednesday night at Goldsboro Country Club at 1501 S. Slocumb St., according to a Goldsboro police report.

The cart, valued at $3,500, was recovered, but it had sustained about $1,500 in damages, the report said. The youths were arrested and will be charged in juvenile petitions. They were not identified because of their ages.

Missing

A 16-year-old Goldsboro girl was reported missing Wednesday by relatives to Goldsboro police. Dominique Ashley Moore of 219 Stallings St. was described as black, 5-feet-4 and 130 pounds with black hair, black eyes, freckles and a medium complexion.

No clothing description was available when she was last seen. Anyone with information on her location was asked to call police at 705-6572.
