Driver injured

A driver from Goldsboro was injured in a two-vehicle collision at 2 p.m. Monday at Royall and North Spence avenues, Goldsboro police said. Vernon Robert Price III, 43, of Harris Street was treated and released from Wayne Memorial Hospital, a spokeswoman said.

The other driver, Betty Lou Carver, 55, of Antioch Road, was charged with failure to reduce speed after the rear-end collision. Damages were set at $800.

Theft

About $1,085 worth of property was stolen between Thursday and Monday from the 700 block of East Beech Street, a Goldsboro police report said.

The resident, Gene Taylor, said a lawn mower was stolen from his yard and a pressure washer, a chain saw, a weed trimmer, a wheelbarrow and a tool box were taken from a trailer.

Recovering

Ashley Adams, 19, who was a passenger in a car that crashed on U.S. 13 South on Sunday, is recovering at home from injuries sustained in the mishap.

Miss Adams was incorrectly identified in a story Monday.

The driver of the car, Joshua Misselt, died at Pitt Memorial Hospital. He was an airman stationed at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.

Miss Adams' mother, Mary Allen Adams of Mount Olive, said her daughter crawled from the wreckage. She suffered a cracked hip and fractured pelvis.
