'Booze It, Lose It'

More than 94 violations were issued late Friday and early Saturday at a "Booze It and Lose It," checkpoint put up by Goldsboro police, Wayne County Sheriff's Office deputies and the state Highway Patrol on U.S. 70 bypass. They included three DWIs, four seatbelt violations, eight driving while license revoked, one drug violation, and 78 other motor vehicle and criminal violations.

Accidents

*Two drivers were charged and taken to Wayne Memorial Hospital along with three passengers Friday afternoon after an accident on Wayne Memorial Drive. All were treated and released. Solomon Draughorn, 30, of Wisteria Lane, was charged with having no operators license and DWI. Ryan Michael Skocz, 28, Tow Bridge Lane, was cited for a safe movement violation.

*A 17-year-old driver and two passengers were transported toWayne Memorial Hospital after an accident on S. Alabama Avenue Friday. Dominique Shantel of Trailwood Drive, Dudley, along with passengers Brandon Billups and Tecovrey Newsen, were treated and released. Stanley Tyrone Davis, Jr., 21, Fairview Circle, was charge with unsafe movement, with his vehicle receiving $4,500 in damages.

*Ashley Lynn Vaughn, 20, of Snow Hill, was charged with a safe movement violation after an accident on Ash Street on Friday.

*Courtney Dorsey, 21, Wright Brothers Avenue, was charged with careless and reckless driving and exceeding safe speed after she was involved in a one-car accident Saturday at 6:45 a.m. on Overbrook Road. Damage to her vehicle was estimated at $6,000
