In a Thursday story about a Wilson County man charged with killing his wife, the News-Argus incorrectly reported that Mark Van Sciver, the deputy director of public affairs for the state Department of Health and Human Services, said he could neither confirm nor deny that Cherry Hospital officials had received a communication from Wilson authorities asking for them to keep the man in custody. Van Sciver said the hospital did not receive a detaining order from Wilson County on May 12.

In Wednesday's News-Argus, a cutline for a photograph of the officers of the Mayor's Committee on Persons with Disabilities contained a misspelling of the name of committee chairman, Jim Mullen. The name of John Chance, the committee's treasurer, was omitted.
