Students from two Wayne County Public Schools performed at the PAC for a Day Music Festival in Spotsylvania, Va., earlier this month.
Although not a competition, the festival provided an opportunity for choirs and bands to showcase their abilities. Grantham School's 8th grade chorus, led by Jamie Cox, received the highest honor, a gold rating. The 7th and 8th grade band received a silver rating.
Southern Wayne High School's show choir, SaintSound, also received a gold rating.
Schools from all around the southeastern U.S. performed during the festival. The performance of our schools demonstrates their continued abilities, professionalism and commitment to music.
