Central Alumni and Friends to hold 33rd annual homecoming

Central Alumni & Friends Inc., will hold its 33rd annual homecoming Friday through Sunday, starting with a banquet Friday at 7 p.m. at the Officer's Club at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base.
Classes being honored are the Central High classes of 1945, 1955 and 1965 and the Eastern Wayne High classes of 1975, 1985, 1995 and 2005
The banquet will be followed by a fellowship hour at 9. Milas Kelly Jr., a member of the Class of 1975, will be the featured speaker at the banquet.
A dutch breakfast will be held Saturday at 8:15 a.m. at Fletcher's restaurant. A noon parade will kick off the Saturday festivities, with entries lining up at Eastern Wayne Middle School at 11. A picnic will be held at 1 p.m. and attendees are urged to bring lawn chairs and desserts. The afternoon events will include games and a drawing.
A hospitality hour at 6 p.m. will be held at the Quality Inn on the U.S. 70 bypass. Tickets are $15 at the door.
On Sunday morning, a dutch breakfast will be held at the Crossroad's Cafe at 9.
Activities will culminate with an awards and gospel music program at Woods Chapel Free Will Baptist Church on Sunday evening at 5. The featured speaker will be Marshall Jackson of the Central High Class of 1965.
