SUMMERTIME

OPPORTUNITIES

Community agencies are now calling to request extra hands over the summer. Some of these opportunities are especially suited for young people and give them a chance to do something positive with their summer break. At Volunteer Wayne/RSVP, we recognize that all people have time and talents to share, and that communities are strengthened when people connect across their differences through volunteer service. Whether you have just one hour a month, or several days a week to share, we can help you find a rewarding experience where your contribution makes a difference in Wayne County. The following is just a sampling of opportunities from 70 community agencies in the local area.

READ TO CHILDREN

This nationally acclaimed reading program is currently looking for volunteer readers. The program offers parents guidance on reading aloud to their children and choosing developmentally and culturally appropriate books.
