Water board meets
The board of trustees of the state Clean Water Management Trust Fund will meet today and Monday at Wayne Community College.
The board will start work today with committee meetings at 1:45 p.m. and will continue with a meeting Monday at 8:30 a.m. The fund has invested nearly $6 million in projects to protect water quality in Wayne County and almost $58 million in projects to restore water quality in the Neuse River Basin.

Market to open
The Goldsboro Farmers Market will open this Friday with its new two-days-a-week schedule.
The market will be located in the parking lot of its former site on South Center Street. It will be open Fridays and Saturdays, from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Farmers will operate out of their trucks or can set up tables and tents.
