Two injured

Two people were injured in a one-truck wreck at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at the intersection of Spence Avenue and U.S. 70 bypass, Goldsboro police said.

Milford Glenn Newcomb, 55, and his passenger, Elizabeth Newcomb, 55, both of Comet Drive, were treated and released from Wayne Memorial Hospital. Newcomb was charged with speeding. The truck, valued at $2,000, was destroyed.

Investigations

Wayne County law-enforcement officers are investigating these reports:

*An amplifier and loose change were stolen between Sunday and Thursday from Salisbury A.M.E. Zion Church at 3498 Big Daddy's Road, sheriff's deputies said. The thief had damaged two doors to get inside. The amplifier was valued at $1,500. Damage was set at $800.

*Three trailers were stolen between April 29 and Thursday from Lowe's Home Improvement Center, Goldsboro police said. The trailers were valued at $6,094.

*Graffiti was painted between April 29 and Thursday on five buildings in the Jefferson Park Apartments complex, police said. Damage was estimated at $5,000.

Missing

A 16-year-old boy was reported missing Thursday by relatives to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office. Joshua Earl Gurley of 104 Muriel Hooks Drive was described as white, 5-feet-9 and 148 pounds with brown hair and hazel eyes. When he was seen last at 8 p.m. Wednesday, he was wearing a T-shirt and blue jeans. Anyone with information on his location was asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 731-1481.

Correction

A report in Wednesday's Public Records had the incorrect amount of money stolen and the victim's age. A total of $550 was stolen from Rhonda Hood, who is 42.
