Accident

A Goldsboro motorist was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 8 p.m. Wednesday in the Winn-Dixie parking lot off Wayne Memorial Drive. Johnnie Ray Simmons, 37, of Higgins Street was treated and released from Wayne Memorial Hospital. Simmons was charged with failure to reduce speed. Damages were put at $2,500.

Investigations

Wayne County law-enforcement officers are investigating these reports:

*A .38 caliber revolver, a diamond engagement ring and a gold necklace were stolen between Dec. 15 and Wednesday from a home in the 100 block of Dunwoody Drive, sheriff's deputies said. The resident, Rebecca J. Artis, said the jewelry was worth $1,000. The gun, valued at $500, was owned by Linda G. Sasser of Rose Hill.

*A necklace and perfume were stolen Wednesday after a window was damaged at a home in the 200 block of Southern Drive, deputies said. The resident, Jose Gamaliel, estimated the value of the stolen property at $320 and damage at $10.

*A red, three-inch pump was stolen between Monday and Wednesday from a construction site in the 100 block of Fallen Boulevard, Goldsboro police said. The pump, owned by Atwell Construction Co. of Greenville, was valued at $1,800.

Embezzlement

A 25-year-old woman from Kinston was arrested Wednesday by the Wayne County Sheriff's Office and charged with embezzlement. Sykonda Larissa Toler was accused of embezzling money from The Pantry convenience store at 453 Buck Swamp Road over two months, Detective Sgt. Carl Lancaster said. Ms. Toler was released from custody on a $3,000 unsecured bond.

Truck burned

A Dodge Durange that had been reported missing about three months ago was found Wednesday completely burned on Firetower Road, according to a Wayne County Sheriff's Office report. The truck had been reported stolen by Suggs Auto Sales in Pikeville.

Missing

A 16-year-old girl was reported missing Wednesday by relatives to the Wayne County Sheriff's Office. Lissette Davalos of 107 Exum Mill Lane was described as Hispanic, 5-feet-8 and 105 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.

When she was seen last at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, no clothing description was available. Anyone with information on her location was asked to call the Sheriff's Office at 731-1481.
