Break-ins

Goldsboro police are investigating these reports:

*A compact disc player and $100 were stolen Saturday after a door was damaged at a rental home in the 900 block of North Center Street, police said. The resident, Larry Miller Jr., said the CD player was worth $200. Damage was estimated at $100.

*About $640, clothing, a cell phone and two pocketbooks were stolen Friday after a truck window was smashed in a parking lot in the 800 block of North Berkeley Boulevard, police said. The owner, Linda Guillen of Warsaw, estimated the value of her property at $158, in addition to the cash, and set damage at $200.

*A DVD-camcorder combination, a DVD starter kit and a DVD were stolen Friday after a car window was shattered in the 100 block of North Berkeley Boulevard, police said. The owner, Dee A. Etheridge of Fremont, estimated the stolen property's value at $649 and damage at $400.

*Eyeglasses, a purse and keys were stolen Friday after a sport utility vehicle window was broken in the 1000 block of Sunburst Drive, police said. The owner, Elizabeth Clarke of Calypso, put a $190 value on her property and set damage at $125.

Missing

A 16-year-old Goldsboro boy was reported missing Friday since March 25 to Goldsboro police. Joseph Decore Simms of 907-B Audubon Ave. was described as black, 5-feet-8 and 140 pounds with black hair, brown eyes and a medium complexion.

When he was seen last, he was wearing a white T-shirt, blue jeans, white sneakers and a blue coat. Anyone with information on his location was asked to call police at 705-6572.
